原先計畫八月底前完成三篇投稿，目前(1)已被接受，(4)也於上個星期投出，(2)和(3)需要再聯繫共同作者才能掌握投稿時程。(5)和(6)需要在九月底前完成所有相關的分析，並開始撰寫。(8)和(10)是今年的重點Projects，要再多用點心力，希望年底可以投出去。

這學期為了專心的研究上，有刻意減輕修課負擔，期許自己能不負這樣的規劃，好好努力。

十月初會再做一次研究進度的檢視。

「如何Review一篇文章」-- 2014APA專題演講筆記

今年暑假去了趟華盛頓DC，參加2014年度的American Psychologist Association (APA) Convention，由於參與此會計量心理學方面的研究者較少，在報告研究時所得到的回饋並不多。當中也去聆聽了幾場專題演講，其中印象最深刻的就是由APA主編所講述的主題：「How to review a manuscript」。演講的內容主要是針對新進研究者應注意的審稿原則，演講筆記如下：

General rule

1. 如果覺得自己的時間或是能力不足，拒絕審稿是一件絕對正常的事情，不必擔心會得罪主編。
2. 分配自己生命中的45至60分鐘來審查一篇文章，若是文章因不符合期刊格式而造成審稿上的負擔，無需多花費時間於修正格式上。
3. 給予舉有批判性和有建設性的回饋，同時點出文章的優點與缺點，並以一個有結構的方式呈現。
4. 平均長度為1-2頁，單行間距。
5. Reviewer的責任是幫助作者把研究陳述得更好，不是要作者寫另一個新的文章。
6. Be kind, not beaten the author to death。

Specific rule

1. 首先瀏覽摘要掌握主題，略過introduction，直接進入method。
2. method是現在APA相關期刊中最受到重視的一塊，評估作者所陳述的內容是否清楚到，若是今天讀者拿到同樣的data，可以藉由閱讀method的部份重製研究的結果。
• Detail in sample, including define population, how to recruit, drop, and non-participation rate.
3. Result part don't need to be fancy. This section should be boring but constructive. 文字與圖表都需要有能夠獨立說明結果的能力。
4. Introduction需要包含方法中所要驗證的主題，並需要引用相關的重要文獻。
5. Discussion需提供本研究結果與其他相關研究之間的連結。Limitation should make sense, not just mechanically disclaim。
6. 25篇引用文獻，最好不要超過30篇。

(3)原先不在我的設定中，但因為共同作者最近面臨升等壓力，所以文章進展超出預期。已經開始撰寫的Paper(5, 7)以及修改中的Paper(9)有望於八月底前完成投稿。(6)(8)(10)希望能在四月底前開始進行到下一階段(分析或是撰寫文章)。(2)和(4)主導權不在自己手上，所以且看共同作者的進展如何再加以配合。

Major Research Tasks 1/13-1/18

1. Dr. Elliott: Read Paper Grosso et al. (2013) and see whether the factor analysis procedure can be reproduced in our data.
2. Dr. Clemens: Comment on Yeo et al. (2012) and test unspecified latent growth model with multilevel assumption.
3. Dr. Yoon: Summary for at least 3 MI papers.
4. Cao: Summary for at least 2 relevant papers.
5. Dr. Bowman: treat the outcome as continuous variables and re-run the analysis.

2014初研究進度一覽

經過了有點混亂的2013 Fall之後（處理人生大事、陸續接了三個研究計畫、第一次修統計系課的震撼教育），荒廢已久的網誌終於要在2014年開始動工了。

看了前一次的發文，是去年的七月。這半年的時間在Meta Analysis、IRT、Multilevel SEM、Sampling Weight上增進了不少知識，也日益發覺資料分析與論文撰寫的有趣。

計畫很多，但真正快到完成階段的只有三個(1, 2, 9)，其餘大部分都僅在分析或是文獻回顧階段。2014，要做的Project、要讀的書、要寫的文章也更多了，看來要更鞭策自己才是。 

所以，來發願吧！

• 每天都要進行與文章撰寫有關的工作，記錄每天進度並每週追蹤成果。
• 分析盡量於合作學者委任工作後的兩週內完成(3, 4, 7)。
• 所有計畫的文獻回顧應於八月前完成，並進入分析階段(6, 8, 10)。
• 除1已投稿之外，八月底前再完成四篇投稿(2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10擇四)。
